V. Final Application: Using Table II of the Checklist

In this final exercise, you will use the knowledge you have gained in Lesson 4 (Understanding non-detriment findings).

You will be presented with Table 2 formatted in as Excel spreadsheet. You will be asked to:

• choose an Appendix II-listed species for export;
• complete the criteria in Table 2 using the information you have or know about that species;
• vizualize the results;
• make a non-detriment finding decision based on the results of Table 2; and
• Justify your decision.

You may wish to print out the Checklist to assist in making non-detriment findings for Appendix II exports (Document Inf. 11.3) for the explanatory text regarding the criteria found in Table 2.
